Laser and Engineering Technologies Cluster LITEK™
Laser and Engineering Technologies Cluster was established in 2010, although the beginning of the collaboration date back few decades. It is a structure based on cooperation and mutual trust, made up of companies and organizations active in the field of laser and related technologies and carrying out joint R&D oriented projects.
LITEK™ goal is to develop world-class laser and engineering technologies in cooperation with R&D&I activities, to increase the profitability and international competitiveness of cluster companies.
Digital Innovation Hub Laser LT DIH
Laser LT DIH – the technology-based non-for-profit hub established a few years ago as the continuation of FP7 APPOLO project. It is a single one-stop-shop providing access to the latest photonics related knowledge, experience and technologies to improve businesses by digitalising manufacturing processes, products and services.
The vision of Laser LT DIH is to become the strongest DIH on lasers, photonics and advanced manufacturing in Northern-East part of Europe through the development of three main pillars: (i) competence in laser technologies; (ii) business support and access to finance; (iii) access to industry.
PROPOSALS FOR STUDENTS
STP offers coursework and diploma topics for bachelor students of industrial design, applied physics, and machine manufacturing specialties.
Even when studying every day, it is important to gain experience in solving real and not theoretical problems. The proposed topics for course and diploma work are formulated in collaboration with laser system manufacturers and researchers at the Center for physical sciences and technology. We aim to solve some of the real technological problems that arise during the production process of laser equipment, to find improvement solutions for construction, design and automation.
Qualified specialists will provide advice on the chosen topic of the course or diploma work, technological possibilities will be created for the experiments, and the developed technology will be tested in the laboratories and applied in the production companies.
