Public Institution “Science and Technology Park of Institute of Physics” (coordinator of Laser and Engineering Technologies Cluster (LITEK)).The project “Finding partners in international R&D initiatives at EEN events to develop photonics technologies and their applications in a variety of fields (PHOTONNECT)” (Project No. 01.2.1-LVPA-T-844, started in May 2017, was partially funded by the Republic of Lithuania and the European Regional Development Fund.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT – to develop transnational partnership and networking through the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) for opportunities to participate in international EU R&D initiatives.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES – it is hoped to find partners to participate in one or more international European Union R&D programs (Cosme; SME Intrument; Horizon2020, Eureka; Eurostars; etc). Given that successful participation in a particular international R&D initiative depends not only on the potential and goals of one organization, but also on the potential and goals of the project partners, it will not be limited one European Union R&D program seeking to develop R&D internationally, but efforts will be made to exploit all initiatives that encourage or not limit project initiatives to develop R&D projects related to laser micro-processing processes, equipment and technologies, the use of photonics in medicine and other fields.

PROJECT BENEFITS – it is expected that active participation in events will lead to sign agreement / agreements committing the Science and Technology park of Institute of Physics and international partners to co-operate in applying for international initiatives / programs in the field of R&D.
