Public institution “Physics Institute Science and Technology Park” together with partners Public Institution “Lithuanian Innovation Center” (LIC – European Enterprise Network), “Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists” (LPK), Vytautas Magnus University (VMU), Lithuanian Energy Institute (LEI), UAB ,,ART21 ” (Art21), Public Institution “SmartIT Cluster”, Public Institution “Smart Energy DIH” started implementing the international project “EDIH4IAE.LT” (European Digital Innovation Center), which will provide digital transformation services to business entities in the Central and Western Lithuania region.

Project budget: 3 134 983.37 Eur.
EU funding for the project– 1 566 491.71 Eur.

Project implementation period – 1st. September, 2022- 31st. August, 2025

The goal – is to make industrial, the digital transformation of the food and energy sectors, giving priority to (i) business and public entities operating in the region of western and central Lithuania and (ii) the implementation of basic digital technologies (high-performance computers, artificial intelligence and cyber security).

The tasks:

1. to increase the demand and absorption of digital technologies potential;
2. to develop digital transfo digital skills necessary for transformation;
3. to reduce the risk of investing in digital technologies by helping companies to attract additional financial resources;
4. with the help of digital technologies and business models, to increase the integration of Lithuanian economic entities into the EU and international value creation chains.

By providing services necessary for the digital transformation of business: digital audits, digital technology and funding search, skill formation, consultations, etc., this center will cooperate with other digital innovation centers in Lithuania and Europe. Such cooperation will not only allow access to the latest knowledge and technologies that promote the digital transformation of the industry, agriculture, food and energy sectors, but will also contribute to the export of knowledge and technologies created in Lithuania, and will help domestic companies to get involved in EU and international value creation chains.
